Keisha
Sitting here not knowing what to do next, until I thought to call the one person that I was not sure was going to answer.
“Yea how are you doing?”
“I’m good and you.”
“Well I have been better but I won’t complain,” I said sadly.
“What’s going on?”
“Well you know Terrance is missing and they think its foul play. They also told me that they have evidence that he was cheating, which could be the reason why he’s missing,” I explained.
“Are you serious?”
“Yes I’m serious. After all that I went through because of him and this is what I get in return,” I cried.
“Don’t cry. I know you are hurt and it seems that everything is falling down around you and you are alone, but you are not. I’m here for you, always have been and always will be.”
“You’re still standing beside me after all that has happened?” I asked.
“Yes I will always be by your side. Nothing for me has changed and that is just the way it is.”
I couldn’t do nothing but cry. The one person that I wouldn’t think that would be there for me is. I had all kinds of thoughts running in my head and didn’t know which one to start with.
“Why don’t you come over and spend a few days with me. Just come and get away for a while until you find out all that is going on and what you want to do next. Plus it would be good to see you.”
“I would love to come but…”
“There is no but, I will send a car to come get you in an hour so just get your things together and come on.”
“Okay.”
“I will see you when you get here.”
“See you soon,” I said before hanging up.
I can’t believe that I can still make that call and everything is as if nothing happened. It’s nothing like having that one person that you can count on to still have your back not matter what.
Now who is ringing my doorbell taking me out of my thoughts? Going to the window to see who it was before opening the door, I noticed that there was a gray 2012 Ford 150 sitting in front of my house.
“Yes how can I help you,” I questioned as I opened the door.
“I’m sorry to bother you, but I’m looking for Mrs. Keisha Jackson,” this tall glass of chocolate milk said standing in my door.
I paused for a second or two because I needed to take all this in. I was looking into the sexiest brown eyes that I had seen in all my days. This man had the juiciest lips OMG. His deep chocolate skin that just shined like the sun, and looked so damn smooth on his six foot frame. I wanted to touch it but I didn’t.
“I’m Mrs. Keisha Jackson,” I managed to get out.
“I’m Devon Jones and I would like to sit down and talk to you if I may,” he said in a deep Barry White tone.
“What is this about because I’m on my way out?”
“I won’t take up much of your time.
